first photo blog entry!
I decided I did not want to combine my italy blog with my photo blog, so this is my new one, dedicated to photography only!
Last semester, I took Photojournalism at COD. We had the honor of working with Easter Seals for our main project. Each student got to work with a family who volunteered to have a photojournalist come into their home and document their daily life with a special needs child. I was blessed with a wonderful family, with a beautiful baby boy, Cody, who is diagnosed with Down's Syndrome. For a few weeks, I had the opportunity to spend time observing this family and documenting their life together to tell their story... which in the end, I found to be an inspiring testimony of Love. Thank you to Easter Seals for introducing us to these families and allowing one another to touch eachother's lives. . . and a BIG thank you to Cody and his parents for welcoming me into their home and working with me on this project. You guys are so great and its been a privilege getting to know you!
Here's the link to my final project :
